The Sacrifice of the First Fruits

A.     What did God ask Israel to Sacrifice? The first thing you going to say is...

The lambs were not the only sacrifices on the altars. Let me share with you some you may not have caught.

 

1.      The Sacrifice of Comfort and Convenience

2.      The Sacrifice of Time

3.      The Sacrifice of their Best

4.      The Sacrifice of their Self

 

B.     The Best Was Yet to Come

 

This offering was require before any of the gains could be used. It signaled that good things were coming.

 

C.     What is the First Fruit of our Salvation?

 

                 1 Corinthians 15:20-23

20 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.21 For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
